Tarana – तराना - हमारी याद आएगी

तराना - हमारी याद आएगी

We started 'Tarana' with the title 'Hamari Yaad Aayegi' – as if Lyricists and Music Directors of old times are telling us 'Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein Yun, Hamari Yaad Aayegi'.

First show was in the form of an informal yet professionally designed and presented 'Baithak' at Nikhilbhai and Vibhutiben Bakshi's Bungalow in Sterling City, Bopal, Ahmedabad. It was 2nd August 2008, Saturday.

Janmejaybhai and Bhavesh made a list of about 38 songs and presented for 4 hours and 45 min. at a stretch. It would not have been possible without 25 invitees in this show. This show was highly informal yet with proper anchoring and Rishin on Tabla. Microphones attached with the Audio System gave us a very good feel of live performance in a hall.

Next day, Bhavesh and Janmejaybhai started receiving phone calls from all the relatives that 'O we have heard that you've done a wonderful 'Baithak', we missed it, if you arrange any such show next time, kindly inform us'.

Bhavesh and Janmejaybhai discussed these feedbacks and with their respective backbones Neeta and Kaminiben, decided to have a well rehearsed show at Sahitya Parishad's hall, which was and is the cheapest yet best.

Janmejaybhai Vaidya is a wonderful composer and singer himself so he takes care of Music Part of the show and Bhavesh handles Scripting and Anchoring.

  2. Great effort indeed. Every show is innovative and I also loved the idea of presenting songs on Karaoke Tracks. I know that it is a challenging job however the best efforts put in by two young chaps Bhavesh and Janmejay are really appreciable. The anchoring is also so informative that I really love to attend your shows. Please keep us posted on forthcoming shows. Keep the good work up Tarana.

  3. It is nice to see that the singers enjoy singing in Karaoke style.. very lively indeed. MeghDhanush was a grand success as it was really raining heavily.. Janmejay, were all the songs in Raag Malhaar or Varundev took it that way?
My 5 favourite rainsongs (picturization point of view)
    1. Rimjhim ke taraane le ke (Dev Anand)
    2. Paani re paani teraa (shor)
    3. Ab ke saawan aise barse (Shubha Mudgal)
    4. Saawan barse tarse dil (Dahek)
    5. Nannaa re nannaa re (Guru)

    Wich are yours?
